 CHOOSE

The essence of Love , the foundation of all that is good or evil in one's life and the state of the world is the CHOICE. No matter how gifted you are physically or even spiritually. It is (YOUR CHOICES SHAPE YOUR DESTINY,) Not your melanin, nor your Chakras, nor your ancestors, nor your 3rd eye. When all is said and done it is the power of choice and free will that shapes one's future. YAHUAH will not (FORCE) the choice. He will not compel your selection. He will allow you to turn away from him. But we do this at OUR own peril, not HIS. Ponder this for one second: what if Adam & Eve did not fall into temptation with the serpent? What if Eve refused to partake? Our world today would be Heaven on Earth.

Satan and his host however will try to force the choice by creating the conditions that will compel you to worship him. A good example of that was shown in scripture, with Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego refusing to bow to the golden statue and were thrown into the fiery furnace. We sisters and brothers will always have a CHOICE and this choice is ongoing at any point and time in our lives we can choose to reject God, our family, our spouses or significant others, our children, our home, our pets, our jobs, etc. We have this power right now. But we know that with each choice comes consequences. PROVERBS 1:22-33 STATES.

Proverbs 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

Proverbs 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

Proverbs 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

Proverbs 1:25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

Proverbs 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

Proverbs 1:27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

Proverbs 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

Proverbs 1:29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

Pro 1:30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

Proverbs 1:31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

Proverbs 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

Proverbs 1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

THE TURNING AWAY OF THE SIMPLE, HOW OFTEN ARE WE SEEING THIS IN OUR STREETS TODAY. MANY YOUNG BROTHERS ARE DYING BECAUSE OF THIS ONE SCRIPTURE . WHY? BECAUSE THEY CHOOSE TO HEARKEN TO EVIL PURSUITS.

LOOK A P. DIDDY AND SO-CALLED ELITE FOLLOWERS, ALL RICH FOOLS AND MANY OF THEIR CAREERS ARE NOW RUINED, AS WELL AS THE POSSIBILITY OF PRISON IS NOW ON THE HORIZON. WE ARE COMMANDED NOT TO LEARN FROM OUR HEATHEN OPPRESSORS.

Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Job 34:4 Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

Proverbs 3:34 Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

Proverbs 3:35 The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

THE LORD WILL ALSO CHOOSE, AND WE WANT TO BE HIS DELIGHT SO HE WILL CHOOSE US

What Influences Our Choices

Human decision-making is a complex process influenced by a variety of factors. Our choices are shaped by internal emotions, external pressures, and societal structures. Let’s break down each influence:

1) Desires

Desires are often the primary motivator behind our choices. They can be categorized into basic needs (like food, water, shelter) and higher-level aspirations (such as success, recognition, love). Desires are influenced by both biological instincts and personal values, driving us to make choices that promise satisfaction or fulfillment. The intensity of desire can vary based on personal experience, background, and context.

  • Example: Choosing a career path driven by a passion for art, even though it may be less financially lucrative, because of the emotional satisfaction it provides.

2) Fear

Fear plays a significant role in shaping choices, often acting as a deterrent or a protective mechanism. The fear of failure, rejection, or danger can prevent people from taking risks or pursuing certain opportunities. Fear can also compel individuals to take defensive actions or follow safer paths, even if those choices are not optimal for growth.

  • Example: Someone may avoid starting a new business venture due to the fear of financial failure, even if the opportunity for success exists.

3) Pain

Physical and emotional pain can influence choices by steering individuals away from situations that may cause harm or discomfort. The memory of past pain or the anticipation of future suffering can lead to decisions that minimize or avoid this experience. Pain is often tied to both fear and survival instincts, leading to more conservative or risk-averse behavior.

  • Example: A person with a painful past relationship may choose to avoid intimate commitments out of fear of being hurt again.

4) Peers/The Crowd

Humans are social creatures, and our choices are often influenced by the people around us. Peer pressure or social norms can shape decisions, especially when there is a desire to fit in or gain acceptance. Sometimes, the fear of judgment or exclusion can lead people to make choices that align with the majority, even if they conflict with personal beliefs.

  • Example: A teenager may choose to wear certain types of clothing to match their peer group, even if it's not their personal style, to avoid being ostracized.

5) Propaganda/Advertising

Advertising and propaganda are designed to influence choices through persuasive techniques. They play on emotions, desires, and fears to direct behavior toward specific outcomes, whether it's purchasing a product or adopting a political ideology. The constant exposure to tailored messages can lead individuals to make choices they might not have considered otherwise.

  • Example: Someone might choose a specific brand of shoes not because of their quality but due to an emotional connection formed through advertising campaigns that promote an aspirational lifestyle.

6) Significant Others (Parents, Spouses, Children, Lovers, Friends, Churches, Employers, etc.)

The expectations and opinions of significant people in our lives have a strong influence on our choices. Parents, spouses, children, friends, and even institutions like churches and workplaces often shape our decisions based on shared values, emotional bonds, or dependency. This influence can be positive, such as encouraging growth, or restrictive, limiting personal freedom in decision-making.

  • Example: A person may decide to pursue a stable but unfulfilling job to provide financial security for their family, even if it means sacrificing personal happiness.

7) Financial Standing

A person's financial status greatly influences the range of choices available to them. Wealth provides access to a broader spectrum of options, while financial constraints may force individuals to make decisions based on survival or necessity rather than desire or aspiration. This can create disparities in choices, leading to different life outcomes for people in different economic conditions.

  • Example: Someone from a low-income background may choose a community college instead of a prestigious university, not because of ability, but due to the cost difference.

8) Health or Lack of Health

Health plays a fundamental role in decision-making. When a person is in good health, they may feel empowered to take risks and pursue ambitious goals. Conversely, poor health can limit choices, forcing individuals to focus on managing their condition or making conservative decisions to preserve their well-being. Mental health also plays a key role, as depression, anxiety, or other conditions can shape how individuals approach decision-making.

  • Example: A person with chronic illness may choose a less stressful, lower-paying job to manage their health effectively.

9) Political Leaders

Political leaders and government policies shape the context in which people make decisions. Leaders can influence public opinion, control the availability of resources, and create laws that either expand or restrict personal freedoms. Political ideologies, taxation, and regulations directly affect choices, especially in areas like business, education, and personal freedoms.

  • Example: A government that supports small businesses through grants and subsidies may influence more individuals to choose entrepreneurship over traditional employment.

10) Money

Money, as a medium of exchange and a measure of value, is central to decision-making in almost every aspect of life. The availability of money determines not only what we can afford but also how we prioritize needs and desires. People with more disposable income have greater flexibility in their choices, while those with less may have to prioritize basic necessities over luxuries.

  • Example: Someone with a large inheritance may choose to travel the world or invest in a passion project, while someone struggling financially may prioritize working multiple jobs to meet immediate needs.

11) Knowledge/Education

Education and access to information significantly impact decision-making by broadening the range of choices people are aware of and empowering them to make informed decisions. Knowledge can counteract ignorance, misinformation, and limited perspectives, enabling individuals to make more rational and considered choices. A lack of education can lead to poor decision-making, limited opportunities, and susceptibility to manipulation.

  • Example: A well-educated individual may make investment decisions based on comprehensive research, while someone with limited financial literacy may rely on instinct or external advice, potentially leading to poor choices.

Understanding these influences can provide insight into both personal decision-making and the broader patterns that affect societal behaviors. Each factor interacts with the others, making the decision-making process highly individualized and context-dependent.

I WILL END THIS LESSON WITH THE FOLLOWING SCRIPTURE;

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Deuteronomy 30:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
